Kathleen S. Civiello

Owner & CFO

Kathleen S. Civiello is a proven leader with extensive experience in fundraising (debt and equity), cost and general accounting, mergers and acquisitions, taxation, investor relations, and regulatory compliance across various industries, including energy, telecommunications, healthcare, and data security software. 

She began her career at George Bagley & Co. After obtaining her CPA license, she joined the Northern Trust Company as an analyst. In 1999, Kathleen founded KAS Accounting & Bookkeeping Services, providing general accounting and fractional CFO (Chief Financial Officer) services to the oil and gas, healthcare, and telecommunications industries.  

As Kathleen’s professional experience grew, so did her reputation as a highly respected and sought-after financial expert. After working as a controller for Standard Steam Trust LLC, Agua Caliente LLC, & Terra Caliente, she accepted a CFO position with Bearcat Energy, where she was responsible for corporate and operational finance, accounting, treasury, taxation, investor relations, internal audit, and risk management.

Kathleen left Bearcat after 18 years of service and joined comforte, Inc., a global provider of data infrastructure, security, and applications, as an interim financial leader. She quickly was promoted to oversee, finance, back office sales, licensing, and marketing operations in North America.

In 2019, Kathleen joined a team of accountancy professionals charged with overseeing the merger of 34 Goodwill stores into its Colorado Springs location. Later that year, she joined At the Beach Tanning, a retail and tanning center with 61 locations across five markets. 

Kathleen returned to entrepreneurship as managing principal and CFO of Royal Business Solutions in 2020 with plans to expand the company’s footprint to leverage her team’s experience and expertise to service more clients.

Personally, as a competitive Ironman triathlete, Kathleen competes in competitions domestically and abroad, including in North America, Canada, Mexico, and Switzerland.
